The days are getting longer, temperatures are rising, and that means it is time to get back outdoors. A number of wonderful events are scheduled for the coming months. If you are looking for the best art markets in Limburg this summer of 2026<\/strong>, then I have compiled a nice list of locations for you where I will be present with my work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is always a special moment to pack up the gear and set everything up in a beautiful spot in the province. From the atmospheric gardens in the south to the cozy squares in Central Limburg, I look forward to hitting the road again and meeting you there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

May 1st at 8:00 PM: A quiet online Instasale<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before the real rush at the outdoor markets begins, I'm kicking off with an online sale via Instagram. Why an Instasale? Actually, mainly for convenience. It's an accessible way to show what I've been working on lately. You can scroll at your leisure from your own living room and see if there's anything that suits you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

June 7: Susteren Art Market<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On Sunday, June 7, I can be found in Susteren. The art market here always has a very distinctive character. It is small-scale and friendly, exactly what you would expect from a market in this region. The nice thing about Susteren is that the emphasis really lies on craftsmanship. You will find people there who talk passionately about what they make. It is a perfect place for a Sunday stroll where you might just stumble upon that one unique gift or a beautiful piece for the wall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

June 13 and 14: Summer market at the nursery Marnis <\/a>(Bunde)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The weekend of June 13 and 14, I will be heading to Bunde. Kwekerij Marnis is a place you really should visit at least once if you are in the area. It is a beautiful nursery with many different types of plants and idyllic nooks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the summer market, the stalls are set up among the plants and flowers. This gives the day a very natural and peaceful atmosphere. I often bring my more natural and colorful works here, because they look so beautiful there. It really is an outing you should take your time for; just strolling through the market, taking a walk through the show gardens, and enjoying all the greenery around you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

June 21: JekerJazz Artlive in Maastricht<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On June 21, Maastricht looks very different for a moment. During JekerJazz, the entire Jekerkwartier is dedicated to music and art. I will be at Artlive<\/strong>. What makes this event different from the others art markets in Limburg this summer of 2026<\/strong>, is the liveliness. You hear music everywhere and the terraces are full.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is an interactive day where the artists are often working on site. It is nice to notice that people often linger here for a chat about the process behind the art. The dynamism of the city combined with the tranquility of the Jekerkwartier always makes this one of the most inspiring days of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

July 4 and 5: Art in the Yard in Swalmen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We conclude this series in Central Limburg during Art in the Yard in Swalmen. This event takes place on July 4 and 5. As the name suggests, the art is presented in an enclosed, green setting. It almost feels like you are visiting someone in their garden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is precisely that enclosed atmosphere that makes it very accessible. You can stroll past the various exhibitors at your leisure and view the works up close. It is an atmospheric conclusion to my tour of the Limburg markets, before we enter the real summer period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why a visit to an art market is worthwhile<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In an age where almost everything can be found online, a physical market still holds a special appeal. You can see the materials up close, truly assess the colors, and hear the story behind a piece. Moreover, it is a wonderful way to support local makers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether you come for the atmosphere, the music in Maastricht, or the peace in the gardens of Bunde: I would be absolutely delighted if you stopped by the stall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few final tips for your visit<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Limburg is beautiful in the summer, but the weather can sometimes be unpredictable. Most markets go ahead as usual, even in the shower, but keep my Instagram Stories<\/a> Keep an eye out for the latest updates.
