– Photoshoots take place in consultation with Steffie van den Akker Photography.
 – The date of the photoshoot is reserved for the client once the €50 deposit has been paid. The remaining amount must be paid before the start of the photoshoot. Digital files will be sent once the full payment for these files has been received. 

– Travel costs are not included in the price. Outside Maastricht, a fee of €0.35 per kilometer will be charged. 

– In case of a cancellation without rescheduling, the deposit will be retained. No refunds are possible for shoots that have already been paid in part. If a shoot cannot take place for any reason, it can be rescheduled to a different date or converted into another type of shoot.

– Steffie van den Akker Photography personally selects the files to be shown to the client after a photoshoot. These are carefully curated to ensure the highest quality. 

– Steffie van den Akker Photography never delivers unedited (RAW) files.

– Photos are delivered within 3 weeks after the photoshoot.
– Photo albums are standard 15×15 cm with 12 pages, containing the digital photos purchased by the client. Therefore, the minimum number of digital files to be purchased is 5. 

– Price excludes shipping costs for the album. Albums can be picked up from me or shipped for an additional shipping fee.

– Steffie van den Akker Photography is fully committed to creating beautiful photos; however, if for any reason this is not achieved, she cannot be held liable. 

– Steffie van den Akker Photography strives to keep your photos for as long as possible to provide a backup of the images for you. However, please also save your photos from the photoshoot yourself and make multiple copies in different ways to ensure you don’t lose the files. Steffie van den Akker Photography cannot be held liable for any loss of images. 

– Photos taken may be used by Steffie van den Akker Photography for the portfolio, website, social media, and promotional activities. If this is not permitted, it must be communicated in advance.

– It is not allowed to edit the digital files yourself by cropping, applying filters, converting to black and white, etc.

– Photos may be used by the client on social media with credit given to Steffie van den Akker Photography.

– Steffie van den Akker Photography is not liable for color deviations in photo prints that were not supplied by me.

– You have the right to use the photos, not the copyright. This means you may share and print the photos but may not submit them to photo competitions, etc.

– For a farewell photoshoot, I will do everything possible to be present from the desired moment. However, there is a small chance that I may not be able to wait on standby. I will always inform you of this and offer an alternative.

– For farewell photography/birth photography in the hospital, it cannot be determined in advance how long or short the session will last.

– For farewell photography, I will do everything possible to be present as quickly as possible once I am called.

– In the case of farewell photography/birth photography, if I am late due to force majeure, I will document as much of the birth as possible, even if the baby has already been born.

– For photo sessions in the hospital, I work according to the rules agreed upon with the hospital. The hospital does not act as an intermediary between me and the client in any way. If, for any reason, good photos cannot be taken in the hospital, neither Steffie van den Akker Photography nor the hospital can be held liable. 

– By booking the photoshoot, you automatically agree to the terms and conditions.

Steffie van den Akker Photography takes photos of people, including in hospitals and of babies & children, but always upon request from the client/parents. Sometimes a photo shows a person’s race or reveals information about their health, and sometimes individuals in the photos are under 16 years old. 

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about visitors under the age of 16 unless they have permission from a parent or guardian. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is over 16. We therefore encourage parents to be involved in their children's online activities to help prevent data from being collected about children without parental consent.

How long we retain personal data
